Just Released: Passage

Piano-driven ambient post-rock. Unplug. Unwind. Let Go. Imagine.

The dynamic energy of a live band fused with downtempo grooves and thematic elements creates a unique brew of relaxing ear candy. Cinematic in scope, this music takes you on a journey. Where it leads is up to you.

The intention of this CD was to take the relaxation/meditation/chill aspect of the previous project but bring it up a notch by using a full band. As I prepared, songs started to emerge that seemed to fit an overall theme about a journey. So, this could be a concept album, although it isn’t deliberately so. Please enjoy the video sampler to get a taste of what’s on this recording.

Soothing instrumental music for relaxation, contemplation, prayer, wellness and healing.

“Draw Me Close” is a collection of instrumentals featuring the piano playing of Kelly Carpenter, along with some help by guitarists Scott Burnett and Andy Park, both longtime friends, as well as percussion by Charles Barnett.

Although the project was intended primarily for meditation and ministry times, in the years since it’s initial release, this music has taken on additional applications. It has been used for Yoga, healing arts, mind and body therapy, special education music therapy, etc.

    Hey Kelly, I really enjoyed listening to your music…very soothing!! It is perfect for meditation and relaxation. I can hear the passion and spirituality that’s within you shine thru your music. CONGRATULATIONS and keep pressing forward. I think I may have just the right Collaboration project for you and I. Will discuss further under separate cover.

    Hi Kelly,I love the song “Draw me close” so much i recorded a cover and put it on you tube.Hope you don,t mind? I have only been a christian since 2007.Seeing my dad suffer and die from a long drawn out illness brought me to God.Iwas baptized two years later.Jesus is always in my life now.I love the recordings you have produced.By the way,if you want to hear my version of your song here is the link.God bless.
